Simple Sentences

This week for writing we done simple sentences.

First I had to sit down on the mat and learn about simple sentences and what simple sentences have in it and it has a verb/action and it has a subject/ person, thing or an object.

Next I had to go on the writing slides and then I had to make sentences with the photos that were on the slides and under line the subject and the verb or I had to highlight it. Then I checked it with Miss White and then I had to go on my DLO/ google drawing.

Lastly I had to make a DLO and then I had to put a title on and then I made what the DLO is for. Next I had to add in my information about what simple sentences mean and then I made examples one with a photo and one without a photo.

I enjoyed this task because it was really fun. I did well at making the two simple sentences. I need to improve on making the simple sentences short.

Basic Facts Boxes

This week I completed a can – do task basic facts boxes.

First I put on a stop watch and then chose what one i was doing but I chose times table.

Next I chose order so that I can practise and I got all of them right.

Lastly I stopped the stop watch and I got 4 minutes and 17 secounds. Then I took a screen shot and then I was doing my blog.

I enjoyed this task because im loving maths this term. I did well at this task because I like learning maths. I need to improve on my time.

 

Poem

This week for writing I made a poem.

First I had to sit down on the mat with Miss White and my group. On the mat we were talking about ryme and poems and souds and words.

Next we had to make some words with the sounds witch was at rhymes like cat, mat, hat, fat, sat. There is more words but those was jut examples of the words and of what we were doing.

Lastly we got sent to make a poem and I made a  poem that rhymes with dog and then I had to make in pictrues. Then I put the title of the poem. That I had to make up bassed on the poem. My title is (Froggy Doggy) that was the title. Then I had to check my work and then I could blog.

 

SSr Selfie

Today I finshed a can do task called – ssr selfie.

First i put on a timer and read the book for 15 minutes and then when it was done I had stop reading.

Next I had to put in the title and then my name next to it. After I had to add in the main caracters and the author and illistator.

Lastly I had to put a little recount of what I read and then I had to list three words and then put there meaning next to it.

I enjoyed this task because its fun to read. I did well at this task because I love reading. I need to improve on reading the book faster.

Response To Haikus

This week me and my reading  group (Kakano) read a book call haikus and then we had to respond to the text.

First we had to read the book and when we were done we had to do the quiz after the book.

Next I made a copy of the response to text document.

Lastly I had to highlight the parts of the poetry.

I enjoyed this task because im learning this in poetry in writing. I did well at having fun on learning this task. I need to inprove on doing this more.

Duffy Needs Space

Today we went to the Duffy theatre in the hall. They preformed a play called Duffy needs space.

First we got there and then we  had to be quiet so they could speak. They said the rules and then they were saying what caracters they were going to be. Then they started the show.

Next duffy was talking about space and how he has his yum noodels. Then his mum said pizza was there and then his mum said his cousin stuffy was there because his mums were gone out some where so he had to stay there for the night. Then Duffy started to talk about space then he showed us pictrues of the photos and he called three people up to hold his pictrues and then he was talking about it. Then they sat down and then Duffy was showing his mum and cousin some thing. Then they had to go to bed and then Duffy woke up and found a worm hole then he went though it.  but before he did he ask us if he should wake up his cousin but he said he was gonna leave him there asleep and then he packed his bag withn books then he went though it and he said it was like he was in space and he found this person taking his books but he got one book and the other person had his other book and put it on the floor. Then  he found these aliens. After the alien and him were friends. There names were Stuffy zip and Duffy zip.  It was really fun and funny.

Lastly They found a worm hole and they said bye to each other and Duffy went though the worm hole but it wasnt his room it was a ice cold place and he froze and then the aliens found him and they had to get him back into space and then they un frezzed him and then they then they found another worm hole and Duffy  went though it and it wasnt his room it was the other side of space because there was a mum that had babie stars and Duffy almost died by touching her babies then the aliens found him and took him back to the other side of space and then they had to tell him he almost died and they had to tell him not to touch the babies. After they had to look for the books but they needed help from us be4cause they needed to find the books from his bag but the aliens had crystals to talk because if they never had it they only could speak alien. Then they followed the books and they got the worm hole to Duffys room. Then he was checking his book because the alien fixed it because his cousin ripped it and the alien fixed it and he thought it was dream but it wasnt. Then his cousin woke up and then he said he was going to tell his cousin but didnt but then they had to pack up they’re fought they made and then they finshed the show and then the school leaders went to go say thank them for coming and thank them for putting the show on.

I enjoyed watching the Duffy show. I did well at keeping my eyes on the speaker. I need to improve on keeping my bum on the floor because I kept on moving.
